Life's a masquerade...

Didn't I tell you that there were big goings on at the masquerade? Now you understand why I can't believe I forgot to include this footage earlier. Well if you're new to my blog, welcome to my little investigative site and continuing research into the life of one odd girl, Cat Colvin. If you're not new, then welcome back and thanks for all of your help thus far. Above you will see Stu's interpretation of the mask that Cat was wearing at the ball, and please don't go too hard on his artistic abilities because his feelings are easily hurt. Anyway, there are two symbols on the mask that I will need your help deciphering. All that I have been able to garner is that they are Celtic in nature.

I'm beginning to notice more and more that weird follows Cat around like a love sick puppy, not always her fault, but she is always present. People are getting stranger by the minute, friends against friend, clique against clique. I remember two groups in particular even had your classic stand-off at the masquerade, but no actual blows were landed. Now, let's continue further down the rabbit hole shall we with further chronicled escapades of one Cat Colvin. As always, keep to the shadows and keep your eyes open.

Robert Craven book covers...

The book covers have been sent out to a few people to help examine them and see if there is something in their artwork, so keep an eye out for their arrival. The pictures are also on my Facebook page, so if anyone else wants a chance to help figure this out they can.

The weirdness about the covers is something that I feel a little more certain of. There is just something off about them especially when they were displayed like that in Cat's locker. As I mentioned on the video, please post any findings with the title "Message from Robert Craven". That way I'll know that there is possibly news on what I suspect.

So I found some more old footage and will be posting it soon. I can't believe that i forgot to include this earlier. The video is of our school's Masquerade ball, something I wouldn't probably have attended, but Stu and I had a hand in set-up of the lighting and audio for the dance. Of course I did have ulterior motives. I had hoped to show some of the social interactions that occur when Cat is around and maybe catch some revealing weirdness, but you will just have to wait and see for yourself. Remember, keep to the shadows and keep your eyes open.

Somewhat Disappointing...

Hey everyone! So as you all are probably aware of, my little excursion into Cat's locker was somewhat disappointing. I found nothing but Robert Craven book covers, some school books, an strange necklace and a note from Miss Amaya telling Cat to meet her at someplace called Wedgewick Village.

On a side note, I give her props for being a fellow Cravenite, but even as big of a fan as I am, I don't have his book covers plastered up in my locker, but to each their own I guess. You know, come to think of it, I did notice something interesting about how the covers were displayed though and I think I'm going to explore this more, and if I do find something I may need your help.

Now this Wedgewick village thing is a whole different matter altogether. I've asked around and looked on every map of Covington County I could find, even the old ones in the Public Library. This place does not exist, anywhere, not at all. The more I look for it the weirder it is I can't find anything about it. I am extremely puzzled as to why Miss Amaya, a teacher, would invite Cat to go somewhere that doesn't exist. Well as always, keep following the videos and please help where you can. And remember, keep to the shadows and keep your eyes open.

A Slight Dilemma...

A locker combo...OF COURSE! Thanks by the way for helping me solve that little coded mystery, but now I have a slight dilemma. One might say that I now have to wrestle with the old moral imperative, to break into Cat's locker or not to break into Cat's locker.

IT'S SO DARN TEMPTING! Please don't think I'm some kind of thief, because I'm not, but I do believe in fate, and if you understand fate then you'll understand that I was meant to find that note and have the code solved. The only thing is, I just don't know if it's the right thing to do, fate or not. I may believe that I have a conscious about this, but truth be told, the desire to find out more about Cat Colvin, kind of outweighs any moral conviction I may have here. This may be the key that helps to begin unraveling the mystery around this girl. I just hope it doesn't end in disappointment like the videos thus far.

I worry about my chances to remain undamaged if anyone associated with Cat finds out that I'm doing this, but again my need to find out more is greater than my fear of retribution. I'll make my decision soon about this, and like always you will be right there with me if I decide to go through with the deed. As always, keep to the shadows and keep your eyes open.

Frustrating doesn't even begin to describe it...

Thanks again to all those who have been following along with my escapades up to this point. I must admit to a certain sense of frustration regarding our failed attempts to provide you with a clear picture or video of Cat Colvin that doesn't look like the film has melted. The extra footage Stu and I have filmed isn't even worth posting here since you can't see a damn thing!

Cat's actions at the football game have at least lead us to believe that she is either a deeply disturbed girl or there is much more to her than meets the eye. I'm thinking the latter. After we stopped filming this last video, I snuck away from Stu and headed back out to find Ms. Colvin. What I found was very ineteresting to say the least. She was sitting amongst a group of trees holding her head and mumbling something to herself. I mean what level-headed person does that and then proceeds to talk to trees? I just hope for her sake they didn't answer back.

Well, these past Odd Astoria episodes were the last of the old footage. From now on things will be posted as close to them being filmed as possible. If there is anyone out there that has any idea on anything, read or seen, please feel free to chime in. Any help to limiting my frustration would be greatly appreciated. We'll be going to Astoria High school tomorrow and hopefully introduce you to ground zero next week with some great video footage. And remember, keep to the shadows and keep your eyes open.

Blurred Vision

Hey again all you amateur sleuths. As you can see above, I've made more attempts to capture Cat on camera to no avail. Hopefully Stu or I will be able to deliver a picture or video that will actually show her face. I still can't get over the fact our equipment only seems to malfunction when focused on her...weird indeed.

So just to get you all up to speed, the drama amongst the popular cliques at school is reaching somewhat of a boiling point. On several occasions there have almost been flying fists of fury. It still boggles the mind that all of this is over one person. Yep you guessed it, its Cat Colvin. She has certain students cautious around other key individuals from other groups, it is sooooo strange!

As I continue with this, it is now more important than ever to keep my intentions between myself, Stu and you. We seem to be the only ones that see something odd is going on here other than the missing girls. Most people that reside in Astoria are completely oblivious to anything outside of their daily routine and I wouldn't expect them to be too receptive of any evidence or idea that something else is not right in their sleepy little town. Especially with everyone distracted by these disappearances. Don't even get me started on this curfew for anyone under 18 to be inside by dark! But I shall not be deterred from my mission to find out who Cat really is and figure out what is going on here in Astoria. I will continue to need your help to expose whatever weirdness that revolves around Cat and those close to her. I do however have some reservations about digging too deep though, not necessarily because of who is involved, but more because my gut tells me I'm not going to like what I find. In closing, I will be posting my next video blog episode soon. So as always, keep to the shadows and keep your eyes open.

A slight distraction

Well here I'm in my humble abode, comfortably nestled in my bedroom, writing to all of you. Just your typical girl's room (purple walls). Nothing much of interest to point out except for my little slant toward the macbre with my homages to "The Master Of Horror", writer Robert Craven.

So while Stu and I are still compiling the video evidence, I just wanted to follow up on my first video blog post regarding the student's weird behavior lately at school.

If you're new to my blog, the weird "stuff" at school I just mentioned is not your typical run-of-the-mill teenage drama or war of the cliques. No, it's much stranger than that. It all seems to revolve around this new addition to our school, which still remains very interesting and actually quite mesmerizing in fact. I just recently learned that this new addition came from a private instituion, located in the next town over, Madison Prep (SNOBS).

So I began this investigation back at the beginning of the school year by taking a few videos and pictures of the new addition in question (of which you will see the strange outcomes in my next video blog). This new addition is still quite the enigma of sorts (can't really figure it out). Now, I'll be posting the second video blog soon so keep a look out for it. And remember, keep to the shadows and keep your eyes open.

Odd Astoria...and so it begins

Hey guys, thanks for tagging along on my little investigative trip down the proverbial rabbit hole. Now I started this blog to create another avenue for communication between you and I. I'm really going to need all of your help with digesting and rationalizing all of the things I have and hope to uncover.

Oh...I seem to be getting ahead of myself. I guess a bit of an explanation would be nice here. The name's Evelyn Anne Marie Carmichael, Evie for short. My partner in crime, who you'll meet later, is Stu, he's the Vice President of the Audio/Visual club at Astoria High School. Stu will be behind the camera and will also serve as an eye witness to the weirdness I'm sure we'll all expose together.

So people who know me know I'm not one to jump to conclusions or see more than is really there, but there is something ODD going on in our sleepy little port town of Astoria. Missing girls, weird student behavior, a town wide curfew...just to name a few things. All of this seemed to begin with a new addition to our school. The object of my concerns will be kept under wraps until a later date. I don't want to sway you're judgement by revealing it right here and now. I want you to come to your own conclusions. In the meantime, keep an eye out for my first video blog that I'll be posting soon. Throughout the next several weeks, I'll continue to film and take pictures to support my words and try to keep you updated as much as possible. Until next time, keep to the shadows and keep your eyes open.
